Our Story

Artisan Home & Design was founded in 2008 by Eleanor Vance, a passionate furniture designer with a vision to create unique, handcrafted pieces that elevate the living spaces of Ottawa residents. Eleanor, a graduate of the prestigious Ottawa School of Art and Design, noticed a gap in the market for high-quality, bespoke furniture that truly reflected the individual style and needs of each client. Starting with a small workshop in the heart of Ottawa's ByWard Market, she began crafting furniture with meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to using only the finest materials.

Initially, Artisan Home & Design focused on creating custom dining tables and chairs, quickly gaining a reputation for exceptional quality and personalized service. Word of mouth spread, and the demand for their handcrafted furniture grew steadily. Over the years, the company expanded its product line to include sofas, beds, lighting, and home decor items, all designed and crafted in-house by a team of skilled artisans.
